A virtual grant writing workshop for artists and cultural workers with a focus on California Arts Council’s Local Impact Grant.
Learn the basics of writing a compelling grant proposal in a 2 hour, interactive workshop tailored to the needs of artists and arts organizations. We’ll use the 2019 California Arts Council Local Impact Grant guidelines and application as our example when we discuss: how to interpret grant guidelines, create compelling narratives and budgets, and provide work samples that wow. Those interested in CAC’s Local Impact Grant for small arts organizations can get an early start in thinking about and working on your first or next proposal.
Open to all grant writing skill levels. Zoom link provided upon registration. This workshop is facilitated by Intersection for the Arts’ new Grant Specialist, Krista Smith, an artist and strategic planning and development consultant passionate about nurturing an economically strong and equitable arts community.
